The Executive Lens Series
There’s an invigorating energy in a space where everyone is deeply engaged in shaping the future of the insurance industry. ITC Europe in Amsterdam was precisely that. It was a week of genuine conversations, probing questions, and a collective drive to improve. For us at tigerlab, it was a chance to contribute but also to listen. We came with our unique AI-powered Underwriting Workbench. This product stands out in the market, not just to showcase what we’ve built but to hear how insurers, partners, and innovators are approaching their workflows, their data, and how AI fits into the bigger picture. What we presented wasn’t just a product; it was a solution. Because what we’ve built wasn’t shaped in isolation. It’s the result of working closely across departments: from product owners to engineers and developers to sales teams and clients. We’ve spent time understanding the complexity, identifying where friction really resides, and how intelligent tools can remove it without replacing one pain point with another. I had the pleasure of speaking during one of the Tech Talk sessions at ITC Europe this year. A great opportunity to share what we’ve been building at tigerlab, and how we’re applying real AI to real insurance challenges.

The Workbench stands ready to support:
Autonomous inbox triage, where emails are read, sorted, and actioned in seconds.
Context-aware insights surfaced right inside the workflow, not tucked away in another system.
Data fusion from multiple sources provides a comprehensive and reliable view of each case.
And document cognition that reads and organises files with minimal manual input.
“But ITC wasn’t just about what we brought. It was about what we observed.”

After a few packed days of tech talks, live demos, and great conversations at ITC Europe, our team walked away with plenty of inspiration. These takeaways capture some key themes we saw emerging across the floor. Special thanks to our Chief AI Officer, Holm, whose insights helped shape many of these thoughts.
ITC Europe in Amsterdam
AI is everywhere. But often just a rebrand.
Much of what’s called AI today is still traditional automation with a fresh label. It’s branding, not transformation. For insurers investing in long-term change, that distinction matters.Real AI goes beyond features. The strongest ideas didn’t treat AI as a bolt-on. They reimagined how the business operates, how teams collaborate, and how better decisions are made. At tigerlab, that’s how we approach it, too. With practical outcomes at the core.
Most companies aren’t structurally ready. While many insurers recognise AI’s potential, few are rethinking how to embed it across teams and systems. Innovation in silos won’t cut it. Aligning the organisation is key. At tigerlab, we acknowledge this challenge and we’re actively working across departments to build AI not just into our products, but into the way we operate. It’s a work in progress, but one we’re fully committed to.
But automation is gaining serious traction. Operational efficiency is becoming a must-have. We saw growing interest in tools like n8n that let teams streamline processes quickly, without heavy dev cycles. Agility is fast becoming a competitive edge.
As we left ITC, we felt not just encouraged but also proud to be a part of the industry’s future. Our commitment to responsible building, continuous learning, and staying close to the people we build for is inspiring. Let’s not let the momentum of ITC Europe fade. The conversations we started there are too meaningful. Let’s keep them going. If you’re ready to see our AI-powered Underwriting Workbench in action, connect with us today to schedule a demo to learn more and explore how we’re redefining smarter underwriting.
